Grammar exercise on Simple Present - Learning activity -classroom and self study.


 You can find out the common errors in the below given passage. This activity will guide you how to use simple present tense for third person singular. This is most common errors when speaking and writing. Let's do this exercise for grammatical understanding on  accuracy of language. You are requested to do this exercise without looking at solutions. take a test of your ability and go for self assessment. 

Please correct the grammatical errors.

She get up at 6 O’clock in the morning then wash her face, take brush and towel go to washroom to freshen herself up. She get ready for the class. She always have breakfast after taking a bath, eat at home usually. She go to English class for 2 hours then get on school bus at 11:00am. She spend 8 hours at school daily. She have her lunch at school only. She enjoy her Sunday. She do her home work in the evening, she eat her dinner with family members. She go to bed at 10:00pm. 




Solution: 

3rd person singular = He, She, It and any singular noun 

V1+ s, es & ies= V5 present verb in singular form. This sentence in exercise is to be known by grammatical aspects. In Grammar, Simple Present Active voice -positive sentence takes Subject + V5 + Object / Complements. 

Correct forms: She gets up .......takes......goes.....gets......has....eats....goes......gets on...spends....has her.....enjoys...does.....eats her....goes to bed....
