Reading comprehension is a different skill set. It needs your full language analysis and reasoning abilities to comprehend passages. Most of the students commit wrong with IELTS reading, why? In India, Others English competitive entrances has reading comprehension in different patterns. However, IELTS reading format is totally separate from others. 

The best way to improve your reading in IELTS is to assess your challenges during reading questions and passages. This is a quick view for you in short that understand your current English level first, thereafter, improve your wide range of vocabulary and learn to find answers with tricks and suggested techniques. 



  1. Frist, improve your synonyms and collect many colloquial words. 
  2. Improve paraphrases and learn to form paraphrasing sentences with word formation.
  3. Work on your reading skills by reading many books, newspapers, magazine, journals and so on.
  4. Develop a habit of fast reading and use skimming and scanning approach. 
  5. Learn more vocabulary on content words ( Nouns, Adjective, Verbs, and Adverb)
  6. Use time management when reading passage.
  7. Initiate reading passage slowly and increase your understanding on comprehension.
  8. Make a regular habit of reading and maintain vocabulary range and skills.
  9. Read different subjects from extensive and intensive reading.
  10. Build your capacities slowly and capture the tricks to locate the answer.
  11. Understand well on reading formats and get acquainted.
  12. Never leave struggle to comprehend passages and find out where you are falling up.


There will a good period in course of preparation, when you will be able to solve all questions. Remember, start reading questions and eye on synonyms and paraphrases. Read the passage carefully and find location for answers. 

Do this one again and again and try to solve many passages until you are transferring more than 36 answers correctly.  

Go thoroughly the questions format and significantly increase your comprehensive analysis by vocabulary, reader's intention, confusing statement, inside tone, contextual meaning, reasoning and synonymous statement.
