Basic Introduction to Tense. Beginner Level
Grammar always plays an active role to make correction in every aspect of language development. There are many tricks and techniques can be applied to enhance the learning rules with application of suggested rules. This is highly recommended that Tense can be learnt by the practice structure, actions and times.
As there are Three Times- Present / Past / Future
Actions: V1 ( Present Verb ) V2 ( Past Verb) V3 ( Past Participle Verb) V4 ( Present Participle Verb)
Tense= This is a correspondence between Time + Action
- There is no specific verb forms for future. It has only time forms. Future form is expressed by Present and Past Tense with future time.
Present Time + Present Action = Present Tense
Past Time + Past Action= Past Tense
Future Time + Present / Past Action or Auxiliary = ? ( accepted as future time )
Ex-
1-We write a note daily. ( Present Time (daily)+ Present Action ( write) = Present Tense)
2-We wrote a note yesterday. (Past Time (wrote) + Past Action (yesterday)= Past Tense)
3-We will write a note tomorrow. (Future Time ( tomorrow) + Present ( will - present auxiliary & write - V1 Present Verb)
4-We would write a note after some days. ( Future Time ( after some days) + Past Auxiliary ( would)
So, This is very clear that there is no specific future verb in English. It is always expressed by the help of Present and Past Tenses with Future Time Forms.
There are active and Passive voice. They play a great role in English structure. It is the only change of communication in voice form.
There are 4 types in every tense and future time.
1. Simple 2. Progressive / Continuous 3. Perfect / Simple Perfect 4. Perfect Progressive
Every Time has 4 sentences each.
1. Positive 2. Negative 3. Positive Interrogative 4. Negative Interrogative
So, Present Tense has 4 types (1. Simple 2. Progressive / Continuous 3. Perfect / Simple Perfect 4. Perfect Progressive )
All Tenses have best uses. They have links and uses in every situation. You can do practice on structures and best uses of tenses.
