IELTS- Listening: No More Than Two Words
Every exam has its own pattern such as IELTS listening has its own style of directions in the questions. There are beautiful tricks and techniques that need to be understood during practice of IELTS listening for academic and general.
We need to answer not more than two words for each questions. It beautifies the best practices to understand the listening appropriately.
Test Format:
Four recordings of native English speakers:
1- Recording section: A conversation between two people set in an everyday social context.
2- Recording section: A monologue set in an everyday social context
3- Recording section: A conversation between up to four people set in an educational or training context
4- Recording section: A monologue on an academic subject
The question format is on 4 parts with 10 questions each. Every question is designed in order to transfer answer in a sequence.
Approximately 30 minutes is the specific time for listening. It is considered for academic and general same. 10 minutes given to transfer answers in the answer sheet.
The number of questions is 40.
There are multiple choice, matching, plan map diagram labelling, form notable flowchart summary completion, and sentence completion in IELTS listening. One has to know the questions patterns accordingly. There is no mine marking or cut-off.
You can find short answer questions, sentence completion, form, note, table, flowchart and summary completion, plan map diagram labelling, matching, and multiple choice are the unique approaches which would help you to understand the listening carefully to transfer your answer on the basis of speech on audio.
It seems to be little difficult before you appear and practice the test. The most important tricks is to understand synonyms speeches, paraphrases and questions which will help you to understand the paraphrasing ideas in order to write answer accurately.
Everything is on regular practice. There may be future challenges that you may face.
You may not be able to catch foreign accent if you are not well acquainted.
Speech and accent would be little fast from your style of speaking and hearing reciprocation of foreign pronunciation.
You may be able to comprehend reading and speaking English from your local speakers but when it comes to international speakers that may disturb your ears initially.
Vocabulary may be one of the hindrances which may disturb your understanding to identify appropriate words. The solution is to have a regular practices until get succeeded.
The best solution is to listen to the audio and transfer your answer in the same time with a quality of your practice.
The amount of practice you input inside for your target band can make you achieve your goal.
Remember you are just going to write one word for maximum two words in answers.
